APPALLING AND DISGUSTED SERVICE FROM MANAGER JACQUE STRYDOM AND STAFF

A weekend that should have been relaxing, distressing and enjoyable turned out to be a nightmare. JACQUE Strydom manager was rude, arrogant , sarcastic, belittling , and not accommodating. In my opinion he and the staff should be FIRED as training will not benefit them. We checked In on a Friday, booked two units with 12 people, the next morning we were told that we only get one towel from Friday to Monday to use(unhygienic) when opening a window in the bedroom the window broke which the manager insisted we pay for or the police will be informed as he threatened, Glasfit confirmed a price of R400.00 the manager insisted we pay R700.00. He belittled us by saying "WE BEHAVED LIKE MATRIC STUDENTS" When we had adults in that unit. There are no telephones available in units anytime we had a query we had to use our cell phones to call reception on a landline(very inconvenient). On Saturday night our entire family was watching a soccer match when the security guards insisted that we where causing a disturbance, this was way before 10 o clock it felt as if we were the ones being targeted. At 2 in the morning a unit above us was causing a disturbance with loud music but nothing was said to them. When we were checking out the cleaners had to report that the cutlery was all in order, however Andre(maintenance manger) insisted that a wine glass was broken in our unit. The cleaner confirmed twice that it was not the case ,however they insisted and asked the cleaner to recheck our unit. When we were about to leave the manger was once again rude and arrogantly asked us to leave the premises . We been to so many other Drakensberg resort's and I HAVE NEVER BEEN SO HUMILLIATED AND DISGUSTED WITH THE SERVICE RECEIVED. "KIARA LODGE IS A NO GO AREA BE AWARE" Appalled Customer
