Kiaat Hospital Nelspruit

<p>Good day</p> <p> </p> <p>I received a sms to rate Kiaat Hospitals service on a scale from 1 - 10. I will rate the hospital as 1 seeing that this is the lowest rating. Let me explain:</p> <p> </p> <p>My daughter Deidre' fell from her bike, we took her to emergency. After it took me ages to complete all the paper work, we waited in emergency to be helped.</p> <p>She had a cut on her groin, which was not very serious but we decided that the stitches should be done in theatre seeing that it was a very sensitive area and she was very scared. </p> <p>At 11:00 AM they told us that Deidre' would go to theatre at 13:00 seeing that she had breakfast at 07:00AM.</p> <p>We waited until 14:00, seeing that my child at this stage was very hungry and thirsty; I asked the nurses when we would be going to theatre. There was a miscommunication between the doctor en theatre personnel. My child went to theatre at 15:30. No one phoned to explain or said that there would be a delay.</p> <p>When they took her to theatre I asked the nurse to weigh her seeing that they didn't do it. Again they said that there was a miscommunication between them and emergency, because they thought emergency weighed her. People get anaesthetics according to their weight!</p> <p>On her arm band it said Diane' which is my second daughter, I asked the nurses about four times to fix this seeing that she is Deidre' . </p> <p>When we got to theatre the nurses thought that she was there for another procedure.</p> <p>On the 10th of January 2017 my medical aid phoned me about a query. They have a claim for Deidre' & Diane' for a car accident!!!!</p> <p>This is pathetic for a private hospital! Deidre' went to Kiaat for stitches, all the forms that I completed said Deidre'. Now we have claims for two children for a car accident.</p> <p>I will never ever in my life go to Kiaat again and I hope that nobody else ever takes me there either. I will also make sure to tell people not to go to Kiaat. If they handle a small procedure this way how will they be able to assist in any life threatening situation?</p> <p> </p>
