No response from Kia Table View for 11 days already
My car (Kia Rio 2012) started giving me problems on 2019/08/11 (When changing gears, the car started jerking and the battery light would flash) and I took it in the Monday morning on 2019/08/12 for a diagnostics test at Kia Malmesbury. We moved there recently. Before we moved, I used to service my car at Kia Table View. The test didn't show any fault and they referred me to an Auto Electrician, who could also not find a problem. I contacted Kia Table View and they said that they can help me, I just need to book the car in for a day or two. I was hesitant about this, because if Kia Malmesbury couldn't help me what different could Kia Table View possibly do. So I decided to request my service reports for the past two services just to check what was actually done on my car. My colleague assisted me and said that the problem sounds as if it could be my plugs. I told him it can't be, because the report shows that my plugs were replaced last year March. When we checked the plugs we saw that it is dirty/old and the tip had white deposits on. I emailed Kia Table View and requested the job card or some sort of proof that new plugs for my car were removed from their stores. Up to this day 2019/08/26 I haven't received any response, but when I requested my service reports they responded the same day. I forwarded the email to Kia South Africa, but still awaiting response from them as well. They (Kia South Africa) phoned me last week just to check how the service I received at Kia Malmesbury was.
Luckily the car is fixed and driving perfectly fine now after the plugs has been replaced (again), but being a loyal customer to Kia Table View for the past years and always servicing my car in time to receive this type of service is dissatisfying.
Please ask for your old parts or even go as far as marking them, just to be safe and have peace of mind.
