LEFT KIA SERVICE CENTRE WITH MORE PROBLEMS
Kia Sandton Service Centre has the worst customer service. I took my car in for service on Tuesday the 15th of September 2020. When they were about to take it in, I told Prisca Maphanga that my car vibrates whenever I accelerate and I have to take it down a gear for me to continue, so could they please check what the problem was.
We did the normal walk around my car and all she noted were a few chips/dents that I was aware of. On the same day later, she called me and told me that was number plate globe was out and that my clutch was dead and to fix it they will have to take my car to the workshop and it would be ready for collection on the 16th around 13:30.
The 16th came and by 13:00 I hadn't heard from her so I called her to hear what the status of my car is. Only then did she tell me that they were still busy with my car and the remaining procedure of skimming will take about 3-4 hours to complete therefore my car will only be ready in the morning the next day (Thursday 17th)
Thursday morning came and went without a call from Prisca at Kia. Around 12:00 I called her but she wasn't available. Half an hour later she returns my call and tells me that my car is being skimmed but it will be ready in 30-45min. So I rescheduled my meetings to later to make sure I am able to go fetch my car.
The day went and I heard nothing from her. Only at 16:00 that's when she decides to let me know that my car is ready but at that time I was in a meeting because I had rescheduled it from earlier. So they had internal confusions with the driver that came to pick me up and it was just a mess. And bear in mind that this is nearing knock off time so no one cares about the customer they just want to wrap up and go home.
Eventually at around 16:45 thats when the driver came to pick me up to go fetch my car and I vented to the driver with my frustrations. I got to Prisca and to be quite honest I had no energy to start arguing with her so I just proceeded to pay. But before then she tells me that my tyre is punctured. This did not alarm me at first but when I got home I realised that my tyre got punctured at Kia because when I took it there on Tuesday in the morning it was fine. It got punctured so bad that my tyre has to be replaced and not patched. If i had gone to their service centre with that punctured tyre, they would have noticed it because I got there at 7:30 and Prisca only came to me around 8:00 - 8:15 because there were quite a few people that morning.
Kia needs to replace my tyre because everything was fine when I got there. I am tired of taking the back seat and saying "it's fine i'll sort it out" NO, ITS NOT FINE.
So not only did they lack in customer service but when you leave their workshop you leave with additional problems you never came in with.
