Worst experience ever for a first-time car buyer with many problems!

I recently bought a Kia Picanto from the Kia Motors branch in Diep River. On the first day of meeting the salesman, I received an SMS referring to me as "MR". My instructions were not recorded by the salesman so when the advisor contacted me to negotiate, she did not refer to any of my instructions and I had to resend documents that were sent to the salesman.

During the negotiation regarding the extra's and what the monthly premium will be, I finally agreed to specific terms (added extra's such as mag wheels, central locking, alarm, smash and grab, electric windows, and waited on a formal quote, which I never received. When I contacted the advisor, she said she already submitted everything to the bank. I told her that I have been waiting for the quote and to find out which bank approved the loan.

After that, we proceeded with the agreement and then I left with the car.

The following problems I incurred with the extra's that were fitted - ALL BEFORE MY FIRST DEBIT WENT OFF!:

1.Two weeks later, my electronic windows, which cost R5694.30, stopped working . I was told to go to MSQ fitment centre (Kia's sole service provider) to fix the fault. I had to leave work early to make it there in time. 2. They also had to remount the mic of the Bluetooth system, which cost R4560.00, because it was hanging from the rearview mirror. 3. I told them that my passenger window was rattling, they collected my car from work to fix it. Turns out that the electronic gadget was fitted the wrong way around, i.e. when you push the button it rolled in the opposite direction. 4. They also then re-did the driver's smash and grab, which cost R2280.00, because there was a bubble. 5. Later on the central locking, which cost R5130.00, stopped working, when I went shopping one evening. I physically had to lock all the doors. They sent someone to my work, so I spent my lunch hour outside in the parking lot so that he could fix it. Turns out he just had to replace the module. 6. The stereo started to sink into the dashboard and I could not remove the 'face' without a struggle. That was when I drove straight to them one Saturday morning.

When I initially added the extras, I had absolutely no idea that it would be fitted by MSQ Diep River. I was so angry when I pulled up to that filthy place, where they have written on the toilet door "please keep close at all times". I know that they have a bad reputation in Southern Suburbs and I would have never chosen any of the extras had I known. The manager at MSQ kept telling me that if I have any problems with their work, to go directly to them. They cannot expect me to do that because I am not their client, I never entered into any agreement with them.

When I asked the guy who fixed everything what their guarantees are on the work done, he said he 'thinks it is for one year'. I had to get all that detail out of the manager.

I stood at MSQ for 50 minutes while they tried to get the stereo in the correct position. Whilst there on Saturday, 26 Aug 17, I was on the phone with KIA's Manager who agreed to have an inspection done on all the work done by MSQ during the following week because my concern is what else they messed up and how it affects my warranty. He did not call me the Monday, as promised. I called him instead and he claims he could not get a hold of the MSQ Senior manager and it has been a week since.

I have been giving all of these people a benefit of the doubt from day one and I remain extremely disappointed and dissatisfied. I do not even enjoy the car at all and I am not looking forward to dealing with any of these people in the years to come. It seems that they fail to keep in mind that I remain liable for the payments while they all got paid all around.
