The experience with KIA Northcliff has been nothing but hellish

• On the 26 October 2018, I booked in the above vehicle RIO 1.2 5DR, 2018, I had experienced an uncomfortable “shake” when the car moved and I experienced difficulties in shifting my gear into “reverse” within four months of a brand new purchase therefore I decided to book in the car for the above mentioned faults. • The car was accessed and I was advised that there was a clutch plate problem and I was told to pay R 7000.00 because my warranty will only kick-in after 6 months of purchase, I refused to pay the amount required, I was later requested to bring the car in because the warranty had agreed to fix the car, which I did and they said they have replaced the clutch plate. • On the 1st December the vehicle just died in the middle of the road while driving and would not move the vehicle was towed to Kia Newcastle, where it was accessed and they confirmed that the problem was with a gearbox. • Kia Northcliff advice they should send them a quotation and the cost will be on them, Kia Northcliff approved the quote so Kia Newcastle can order the part and fix the car. • I received a call again from Kia Newcastle and informed that Kia Northtliff told them that the gearbox will be collected from Kia Newcastle to Kia Northtliff to be fixed and be brought back to Newcastle where the car was towed. • I told them that I do not want the car anymore , they must either give me a new car or terminating the contract , which is till within my right to return it as it is still within 6 months of purchase, I went to Kia Northtliff on the 7 December 2018 and they promised to give me a new however I first need to wait for the process of fixing the car , according to them the car is fixed, they are now refusing to give me a new car, I was told I quote “There will be no replacement vehicle”

They were under a legal obligation to carry out the work on my [vehicle] with reasonable s**** and care, using parts of satisfactory quality and fit for their purpose, as laid down by the consumer act.
