Terrible service from Kia Fourways
Kia truly has "The power to surprise"! Just as I think it's not possible for the service to get worse than that current moment then you live up to your slogan and prove me wrong. I was looking at moving to Kia for the first time but this pre-sale service that I have received, made me extremely skeptical about the Kia brand.
After seeing a specific vehicle at Kia Fourways, my wife tried to contact them but was told that the gentleman (the name available on request, the dealer principle) will call her back after a few minutes - needless to say we never received the call. I then phoned Kia Fourways and ended up with a sales consultant (the name available on request), after which I asked him if that vehicle (2016 Light Blue Picanto) was still available, on which he confirmed that it was still available. I then arranged to view the vehicle on Saturday around 11:00. Between Wednesday and Saturday morning I have called to confirm the availability of the vehicle. In the mean time, the sales consultant was quick to ask for all my documents for financing application and my financing was approved by Friday morning.
When I arrived at Kia Fourways (from Centurion), I was told that there were no 2016 Light Blue Picanto on the floor. I then, because of my previous research, wanted to go and look at a 2017 Light Blue Picanto at Imperial East Rand, but I was told by the sales consultant that since Kia is Imperial, he can have the vehicle transferred to Kia Fourways. Already annoyed and disappointed by the empty promises, I gave him the benefit of the doubt hoping for the best. The sales consultant then told me the vehicle will be at Kia Fourways on Monday and that he will contact me as soon as it arrives. On Monday around 14:45 I have not heard a single word from Kia Fourways and I decided to phone them. Then the sales consultant told me they cannot get the vehicle for me. (Since when should a client work so hard to even just get feedback?) He then told me that he will phone me back before the end of the day with more feedback, which didn't happen either. My experience from Kia Fourways (the dealer principle and sales consultant), the system between them and Imperial East Rand and as a result the Kia brand has been nothing but disappointment and effort.
The non-existence of integrity (people saying things just to hold a client) is just shocking. One thing for sure is that they really live up to the Kia slogan -"The power to surprise" but for all the wrong reasons.
All the above mentioned facts are supported by email, sms and voice (call recordings available) conversations between myself and Kia Fourways, and I am more than happy to make it available should Kia be willing work on customer service.
