Terrible Service
I Bought a Car at Kia Sandton Rio Pre-Owned 2016 Model 28 February 2017 everything it was finalized on that day but i never took the car same day. i went to fetch it on the 2nd of March 2017. when i get there my car was not ready for collection i had to wait for 4 hours for it to be ready, the excuse was that it went for roadworthy assessment then car wash, of which i feel like that was supposed to be done prior because it was the second day already that car was under my name even thou it was still at the dealership because i have signed for it. By the time it was finally handed over to me i was in a rush already to Mpumalanga. Gentleman that was helping me with the name of Bali the only thing he gave me was 2 Car keys nothing else i mean no ownership documents, no service book even the inspection with me was never done. well as a someone who purchase a car for the first time i did not know what must i have with me and not or basically the service/treatment that i deserve from the dealership, he never explained anything to me. few weeks later someone pumped into my car behind i had to claim as a third party recovery i did not have any document with me that was needed by that insurance company like i said that ownership documents were never handed over, i called Bali he asked me to pass by the dealership to be assisted, he then gave me ownership document and new car disc. few months down the line out of curiosity i went to ask about the service of the car when i got there i was told that i have exceeded the kilometers i should have brought the car for service when it was 30 000 km and it was already at 33 000. i spoke to the Manager with the name of Chris, i explained to him my situation with the hoping that he is going to help me, i told him that i was never even given the service book or get a proper explanation that when is the car due for service that is why i exceeded all he said is that there is nothing he can help me with i must purchase new book and pay for the service because i have signed all documents, of course i did sign when were finalizing paper work on the 28 Feb but on the actual day of fetching the car nothing was handed over, With the experience that i got from Kia Sandton i feel so betrayed, i still fail to understand why the car was taken to roadworthy by the time i am already there at the dealership to fetch it, i do not understand why do i have to fetch things at the dealership one by one, why i was not given all my stuff on the day of collection because everything was supposed to be ready, i do not understand why i was not informed about services of the car, i do not remember getting a courtesy call from the dealership to ask if everything is fine with the car, do i know when is the car due for service things like that, but they managed to give me a courtesy call after i paid for my service asking how was the treatment, why i was never asked before? i even got the call asking me to rate the service based on the treatment that i got during the service, why all that was not done after purchasing the car? why only now? i took the car to the dealership for the service i was given a lift to my place but i had to figure out how i do i get back to dealership to fetch the car i asked to be picked up i was told that all cars they are out busy clearly i wasn't that important. i am bringing all this now because i was never given a platform to say my views from Kia since i am the customer. And for me to talk to Chris the Manager i feel like it was very useless because i did not get any help from him instead he even gave me incorrect figures when i asked how much is the book he said it is R 300 -350 only to find that the book is only R 140 i feel like he is so *********** for his position, i mean what is he managing if he fail to do a simple damage control that was coursed by his subordinate called Bali. it is a pity because Bali is no longer there i was going to give him piece of my mind if only i found him. for putting me in this whole mess. Owning Kia Rio was one of my dreams but due to the service i got at the dealership i regret the day i decided to go there may be i should have went to different company where i was going to be appreciated as a customer and be given all my stuff on time. i love my car there was no way that i was going to miss the service under a normal circumstances because i work 10-15 minutes away from the dealership i pass there everyday so there was no way that i was going to stay and not take the car for service if i was well informed and be given service book at least. that is why is paid for the service but i am not happy at all about the whole thing. To be honestly i do not trust Kia anymore especially Sandton branch what if the car was not done service properly i was not there during that service, i feel like my life is at risk. Bali and His Manager Chris they are the two rotten potatoes in the entire team. if Bali did his job correctly my money would have been saved if Kia as a company did the follow up on customers especially first buyers this could have been avoided or resolved from the beginning, i would have brought this matter way too early. i know it is my responsibility to take care of my car that is why after finding out that i missed service i booked in my car for service as soon as possible. i am worried now that what is next, what inconvenience i am going to get now after me paying for my service. what is it that is vital that was never informed, how much will that damage cost me.
