Service and Maintenance plans incorrectly expired
I purchased a vehicle from Kia as a Demo in Feb 2015. Vehicle was registered as a September 2014 model and therefore still had the balance of the service and warranty still intact. On top of this I purchased a maintenance plan and some sort of cosmetics plan from Kia Northcliff. The agent at Kia Northcliff informed me that the maintenance plan (5 year length) will be intact for 5 years, doesn't matter if the warranty ends earlier.
The warranty and service plan for this vehicle is 5 years.
About 6 weeks ago I contacted Kia to make sure that I still had sufficient time to bring my vehicle in for a service. Kia informed me that my service plan has expired. Then tried to pawn me off to liquid capital to resolve the query to which I refused as I bought the car from Kia and not from liquid capital, I didn't tell them to input the incorrect dates on the system, Kia was in communication with them.
Today, after weeks of fighting, my car went in for a service still within the service plan, but to my surprise, my maintenance plan has expired.
This is a major inconvenience, as now I have to fight the fight again and take my car back to the servicing agent. Kia your aftermarket service as a company is shocking and you do not look after your customers. The Kia vehicle was great, but based on the service and blatant lack of taking responsibility by Kia, I will not support Kia again.
