REALLY TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!

I had an incident where my backlight was broken and whilst broken my radio also stopped working. I took the car into the KIA multi-franchise Stikland, Cape Town. Firstly on day one after taking the car in at 7:30 so I can have it back the same day, I was contacted at around 2pm with a " courtesy call" to say they have been unable to start looking at my car, when I performed they indicated that it will have to stay another night and they will look at it first thing in the morning. Around 10am the next morning upon speaking with the franchise manager Imran I was told its definitely the radio and I will need to buy a new radio for R35,000!!! I then contacted KIA SA for advise and was advised that the radio warranty is 12 months so I will need to have the radio removed and send to Johannesburg for analysis (at my own cost).
Since then I found OEM Radio Repairs in Parow, took the car to him and within 45 minutes he correctly identified that the amplifier (at the rear where the water dripped in through the backlight) was shorted due to water damage - fixed it and off I went.
How can a company not have the s****/ability but more importantly the infrastructure to bring their product to the company and get a clear answer on how to move forward. What use is a car without a radio.
The most useless service I have ever received and I will definitely be in search of a new vehicle and it wont be a KIA! People make the brand and my contact with these people have forever changed my perspective on this brand!!
