Raw Deal For Damaged Amplifier

I bought my Kia in 2011 and after a few months the vehicle packed up. Kia Welkom at that time refused to give me a new car saying that i had put too much milage on the vehicle in a short space. It was only after contacting HelloPeter that i was given a new vehicle. My recent problem is that i have a faulty amplifier due to improper installation of the bar which led to water leaking into the amplifier compartment.

This time around I decided to contact Kia directly to see if they will be able to help me, only to be told by their Case Manager that they wont be able to help since i bought the car a long time ago. all i was offered was an apology. I am not the one who installed the tow bar and have always had the problem of the leaking water and never understood where the water was coming from.

It's interesting how Kia now says they cannot assist me in anyway yet i am not the one who created the problem. If Vehicles have a certain fault, they get recalled by the Manufacturer at no cost to the client even if this after many years to get fixed. Why can't Kia to the same with my case.

i am not happy with what they did and will take further action regarding this matter. I also have emails from Kia Randburg confirming the reason why the ampifier is damaged. On top of this, i have a Service and warranty extension till 225 000km but i was told that the speakers wont be covered.

This to me is unacceptale and unfair treatment.
