Pathetic service fro Kia SA

I bought a brand-new Kia Pegas from Kia East Rand on the 19 January 2022. In the first week, we found the car very unstable on the road. I called Zidaan my salesperson at Kia East Rand, and he spoke to their workshop and advised me to bring the car in for wheel alignment. When I took it back for the wheel alignment, they found that the tyres were deflating. They arranged for us to take the car to Minty’s Amalgam, to do a warranty claim on the tyres. Minty’s Amalgam was out of stock on the original tyres and were not sure when they will be receiving stock. I had suggested that I have a set of 15”mags at home, and if they were able to do the warrantee claim on a bigger tyre, I will accept it. I was not prepared to drive the car with the tyres deflating for an unlimited amount of time, as I travel from the South of Johannesburg to Bryanston, and I take my kids to school every day. I was not prepared TO PUT MY LIFE AS WELL AS MY KIDS LIFE IN DANGER BECAUSE OF AN OOS SITUATION ON NEXEN TYRES. Besides receiving pathetic service from Kia East Rand, we had found many other issues on the car as follows: The fuel consumption was very high on the vehicle (between 8.5-9.5 on the consumption reading), we were advised by the salesperson at Kia East Rand (Zidaan), to remove the positive terminal on the battery and put it back a few minutes later, to reset the vehicle, which we didn’t do because it didn’t make sense to be doing that on a new vehicle. Driver’s window opens and closes very slowly – Leak in the window whilst closed The tyre touches the fender every time we have our 3 kids in the backseat while driving. There are dents in 3 of the new tyres that were fitted by Minty’s We were then advised Thokozile from Kia SA, to take the car back to Minty’s Amalgam to look at the tyres, which we did. We then received a response from Minty’s stating that they cannot assist us with changing the tyres because the rim is too wide for the tyres. My question is why did Minty’s fit that tyre on the car if it was not the correct size in their opinion since they are the tyre professionals? Furthermore, we were advised to change the mags on the car to a narrower size, which I cannot afford at this point. Now I’m left in the same position of not being safe while driving my car with tyres that can blow out at any time due to weak walls. And then when I called Thokizile about it, she said that Kia is not the tyre manufacturer and Kia does not deal with tyres, is that your professionalism to a customer of Kia? Thokozile had advised telephonically that she will arrange a courtesy vehicle once the car is booked into Kia, we then took the car to Kia (2 months ago) and the car was there from 7:30am and supposed to stay there but then Lewellyn from Kia the Glen said that Thokozile did not tell him anything about a courtesy vehicle on her email, we were then advised by Thokozile at 16:30 that we should go and collect the car until can sort out a courtesy car. When I called Thokozile the next day to find out the way forward she changed her story again saying that company policy states that Kia will need to keep the car for 48 hours to look into the problems of the car before issuing me a courtesy car, my problem with that is how will I do my necessary tasks without a car for 24-48 hours? I bought a car because I don’t have any other means of transport to do what I need to do. We spoke to Kia at the Glen (who has been very helpful thus far), and they are saying that they will be able to assist us with a courtesy car if they receive an email from Kia SA, stating that it is a requirement of the customer, but Thokozile on the other hand said that they do not need an email from Kia SA (So who should I believe)? So basically, we’ve been speaking to different people, starting with Zidaan & Bongani from Kia East Rand, to you from Kia SA, to Lewellyn & Rolland from Kia the Glen and now Irfaan from Minty’s. it is really becoming an inconvenience and costing me a lot of money to take the car from place to place in order to get it sorted out. And still we’ve been getting negative feedback from all sides especially customer service at Kia SA. All I require is that my car goes in to be looked at and all the problems be sorted out for once and for all, and while doing that for Kia not to leave me without transport and issue me a car to use while my car is being fixed. We then received a call from Derek, Thokoziles manager and he promised he will assist us, but he has been giving us the run around for over four weeks. He says that they still waiting for courtesy vehicles to come in. And he still hasn’t given us any feedback regarding the incorrect tyres that was fitted on the car. He doesn’t even bother responding to emails, and when he does respond he doesn’t give me the information I requested I don’t feel it’s fair that I bought a brand-new defective Kia Pegas from a Kia dealer, I pay my instalment every month and now I’m being told that Kia cannot help me with transport, while my defective car is being fixed. So, I will be left without transport! This has been the worst customer service I’ve received in my life.
