Misleading service plan information
I don't usually take to online platforms to vent my frustration but I feel new car owners needs to be made aware. So I purchased my vehicle from Kia Durban and purchased a 2 year service plan.
My vehicle was purchased in September 2017 but they advised me my first service would need to be In July 2018 because that's the month the car would be a year old. I booked my vehicle in and it was roughly on 11 000kms. The lady that assisted me told me my car wouldn't be on a mileage service but on a yearly service and so I need to book my car in, in July 2019.
My vehicle is sitting on 36 000kms and I just called Kia Durban to verify do I still bring My vehicle in, in July this year. I called after a conversation with a colleague where they said to check because they were advised the same and when she took it in, they refused to pay because her milleage was over, even though she was told to bring it in, in that specific month.
Bottom Line is My car needs to be serviced. No person would purposely not take their car in to be serviced especially when it is financed. It makes no logical sense.
Liquid capital is refusing to pay and Kia Durban basically has the "we don't care, if you want a service you have to pay R2 350.00.
Is there any way or calls that can be pulled to confirm and verify what was confirmed? And can you guys make sure that you tell your clients it's yearly or mileage, which ever comes first.
For a person whose never had to take their car in for a second service because I'm a fairly new car owner. I feel it is misleading and many people aren't aware of these things and takes advice of the service department as facts.
