KIA SA - BAD ATTITUDE AND SERVICE
I am writing this review with disgust and worst service I received from KIA South Africa customer service consultant named Nasiphi Lekota. She made me feel as though KIA gave me the car I am driving free of charge.
My issue is:
I had my KIA Koup 1.6 turbo serviced at Kia Weltevreden and they picked up that one of the spark plugs was cracked and need to be replaced. But I mentioned to the Foreman there that all 4 spark plugs were replaced in the previous service at Kia Germiston. He advised that, spark plugs dont just crack for not reason, maybe it might have been dropped before it was put in, we dont know but please take this up with KIA SA. I did as advised, via email.
I have never been given such an attitude before but the consultant at KIA SA made sure I felt it this time around. Firstly, she mentioned to me that KIA Germiston is closed and the is nothing that they can do about this to help me. Let me quote her exact words: "The said dealership has now closed down and we would not be able to get a direct response from them. The issue regarding the dealership not having carried out the 60 000KM service to standard is considered to be speculative and at this point cannot be proven. Dealership cannot be held accountable for the spark plug damage as the vehicle has driven over year and over 15 000km after they completed the 60 000km service. Trust the above is in order. No further assistance can be provided and the matter is considered to be closed."
I was puzzled by how Nasiphi Lekota can just assume and close the matter without even trying to investigate the matter further. I am not a technician and somebody who knows better advise me that my issue is not a wear & tear but human fault then I feel so disrespected and taken for granted by KIA SA. My car is still under warranty and was told I will have to pay cash for fault cause by KIA itself. Now, for the fact that one of their dealership closed down its not their fault and they cannot assist me further really leaves alot to be desired by KIA as a brand.
KIA really lived up to their slogan this time around, THE POWER TO SURPRISE. I am shocked beyond for the service i received today for KIA SA and Nasiphi Lekota the customer service consultant.
Ohh to rub salt to the wounds, she closed of the conversation by giving me details to the Ombudsman.
Thank you KIA SA.
