KIA Roodepoort did me dirty
In July 2025 I brought a car from KIA Roodepoort, I was in communication with their consultant named Bongani. In our conversation I stated that I need my interest fixed for the entire credit term and that I am willing to pay R5500 and not more than that and he agreed to give me a KIA Sonet for R5400. Though I wanted an automatic I settled for a manual because at least it was an SUV I loved, when I went to their branch on Saturday to collect the car they told me it was late and were about to close, I signed the contract in a hurry under the impression that I was signing what we talked about on the phone. A lot of things were not disclosed, like the fact that my interest is not really linked because for the next 4 years my installment will increase by R400 and the cash price for the car was R299 000 so now my debt will be R600 000 if not more which is double the price of the car. As if that was not enough they didn’t tell me that my car comes with a tracking device from Netstar so when I got home I contacted car track to come and install a tracking device of which they came on Wednesday as per our agreement and my car was fine but later KIA insisted on sending their Netstar technician because they said it was already paid for and I can have 2 devices it won’t be a problem so I agreed, their technician didn’t even take 30 minutes to install the device and this was days after the car track technician took hours to install his device; my car started giving me problems the speedometer went off and had errors, my speed couldn’t exceed 100km as the accelerator was now faulty. I told them and brought in the car and they confirmed that it had faults but they can’t do anything they will wait for Netstar technician to come and fix it, so they gave me back my car and made a appointment for another technician to come and fix the fault, the second one came but the error was not fixed until a third technician came and it was by then when it was fixed so I was driving a car with faults for weeks and they were aware, please note that my car is brand new and I am worried that these technician might have done something to it that will affect me in the long run. Now that I am paying my debts well, I saw there was another deduction I was not made aware of because I only know my car instalment and this deduction was from M-Sure PTY I still don’t know what that company is or what it does for me but I reversed their debit order because I had no clue what it was, only to ask Bongani who said it’s part of KIA but didn’t explain why it’s deducting separately and what is it for. I am very disappointed with this company and would not recommend it to anyone
