KIA LENS
My vehicle was taken to KIA Lenasia South on 22 December 2025 for assessment, as advised by your team. I clearly explained the issues with the vehicle, with the main concern being that the car was not driving properly due to a damaged clutch spring. I specifically emphasized that restoring the drivability of the vehicle was the first priority before any other work could be done. I was informed that the vehicle would be assessed and that feedback would be provided. On 29 December 2025, I was contacted and informed that the issue was related to the clutch, which was causing repeated damage to the spring. Based on this advice, I agreed to have a new clutch installed, as it was presented as the root cause of the problem. I subsequently paid approximately R16,000, which included the clutch replacement and servicing. However, upon completion of the repairs, I was informed that the issue was still not resolved and that additional faults had now been identified. This was concerning, as the vehicle had already been kept for more than seven days for a full diagnosis. After agreeing to the clutch repair and receiving an invoice, I was then presented with another invoice for additional costs, including clutch master and slave cylinder repairs, which had not been identified or quoted during the initial assessment. This raises several concerns: • When the vehicle was initially assessed, why was it not identified that the clutch master and slave cylinder required repair? • These components are visible and testable therefore, they should reasonably have been diagnosed before the clutch replacement. • The vehicle was able to drive from Ennerdale to KIA Lenasia, with the main issue being the spring. Despite this, I was quoted for a clutch replacement, yet the original problem remains unresolved. • The rear hub was replaced as quoted, however the ABS warning light remains on, indicating that the issue was not properly resolved. • Since the clutch and spring were replaced and the problem persists, I am concerned that the clutch master and slave cylinder may have been damaged during the repair process, as no prior confirmation was provided that these parts were faulty. In addition, my interaction with the service consultant on Wednesday was disappointing, as she was rude and unwilling to listen to my concerns. I later spoke with the manager, who assured me that he would consult with the technician and call me back. To date, I have not received any feedback, despite this promise.
Areas of Concern Requiring Answers and Resolution 1. Since the clutch replacement did not resolve the issue, I request that my original clutch be reinstalled and a refund be issued, as the agreed repair did not fix the problem. 2. The rear hub was replaced, yet the ABS fault remains active. I request that this be properly fixed at no additional cost, or that a refund be issued for this repair. 3. As this is a KIA vehicle serviced by an authorized KIA service department, I expected the issue to be correctly diagnosed and resolved the first time. 4. Issuing additional quotations after work has already been approved and completed reflects poorly on KIA Lenasia South’s service standards. 5. I require urgent feedback and a clear resolution plan. Should this matter not be resolved promptly, I am prepared to escalate the matter further.
