Kia Klerksdorp broke my windscreen, and are not willing to take responsibility.

On the 21st of January 2022 I took my car for service at Kia Klerksdorp at about 07H00 in the morning. Upon arrival my car was inspected and everything was in good condition as per inspection documents attached.

At about 12:40 pm I called Kia to find out how far they were with the car, I was made to hold the line for about 30 minutes waiting for a lady called Wendy. I was told she will call me back after a few minutes. I called an hour later and Wendy was still not available to give me the information I requested.

At 13H40 I decided to take an Uber there with the hope that I will be collecting the car since I still had to travel to the Northern Cape.

Upon arrival I was updated of all the faults that were found in the car after it was serviced, and handed the keys.

After entering the car I realized that my windscreen was broken. I called the lady that gave me the keys , and she said the car came like that in the morning, despite the inspection sheet stating otherwise. She called Mr Christo Hoepfner who introduced himself as the Branch Manager overseeing all the garages.

I explain to him what I just saw and he bluntly told me that unfortunately it's not their responsibility as he did not work on the windscreen as he only worked on the engine and not the windscreen. To my surprise the car was washed and I believe the windscreen was touched. He asked us to leave his premises and take our car with. He then asked us to contact his lawyer, and insurance company. After an intervention from my daughter he finally agreed to give us all the attached documents.

I am a loyal customer of Kia as this is my third Kia car, All I am asking for is for Kia Klerksdorp to please fix my windscreen.

Can Kia kindly intervene.
