KIA HELDERBERG (SOMERSET WEST)

Dismal –: synonyms: bad, poor, dreadful, awful, terrible, pitiful, disgraceful, lamentable, deplorable; inferior, mediocre, unsatisfactory, inadequate, second-rate, third-rate, shoddy, inept, bungling, dire, diabolical, bum, rotten, pathetic, lousy. All these accurately describe the service of Kia Helderberg (Somerset West), their personnel and their service. I have bought a new Kia Sportage on loads of empty promises. The sales personnel try to salvage and keep the real customer complaints away from the DP or Kia Head Office out of fear that she might be fired. (And we were told that the DP at Somerset West has been fired and two sales people suspended – this actually comes as no surprise). In a nutshell our gripes with this pathetic dealership includes: 1. Delivering a brand new vehicle which roof panel is so dirty that it looks as if some grease ****** mechanic had his KFC on the inside of the roof. I believe that the poor sales person actually had to pay from her own pocket another professional institution (AutoCare) to clean the roof lining! 2. A promise to fill the tank with fuel only resulted in a R500 fill – and this after we had to wait and beg nearly a week for the “voucher” (probably in the hope that we would forget of just give up on Kia); 3. We made it abundantly clear that we will not be driving with paper number plates and that they should do the registration and licensing before collection – needless to say we had to drive nearly a week with promises that the number plates would be done every day (this obviously did not happen); 4. The information supp**** by the salesperson was surely lacking and on the basis of her “information” we bought a vehicle in the hope that it was everything that was promised. It was not. Sure, the vehicle comes with SatNav which we specifically requested only to find out we had to connect via AppleCarPlay with a USB cables all over the transmission. The vehicle promised (but minus the sunroof and seat warmers and minor trimmings as they only had a different Kia on the floor, but “hey, they are identical apart from the sunroof, seat warmers and minor trim” seems to be miles away from what we actually received. 5. Bottom line: avoid Kia Helderberg (Somerset West). I will be trading my Kia in at another dealership that actually is honest in their dealings before my first 15 000km service! Avoid them – seems like they are in any event firing most of their personnel for whatever reasons. Would I recommend Kia Helderberg (Somerset West): absolutely not.
