Kia Fourways
In December 2018 I purchased a second hand BMW 116i. I was told the car was in perfect condition and comments on the car were very good. On the test drive the car was pulling left and there were tyre pressure warnings on the dash. I was assured that they would be fixed. I collected my car the next day and drove down to Durban for a family holiday. Firstly the headlight was not working and the car was still pulling left badly. I also learnt that the spare key was not working .The car was also 5000kms overdue for a service which I could not see on the test drive due to the Tyre pressure warning. I immediately phoned my sales agent ( Angela ) and notified her.
On taking it back into Kia they informed me car did not pass roadworthy as it needed three new tyres as well as the broken light. This was suppose to be a roadworthy vehicle on collection. The car was then taking very long to come back and they said it was at BMW so I wanted to go see for myself what the issue was. They then quickly changed the place to tiger wheel and tyre. I proceeded to Tiger wheel and tyre Fourways where an employee showed me that the front right wheel was badly falling in on the camber. Kia was then saying that the car was not meant to be on the floor for sale.
Since then I have dealt with four different people from KIA and the car has been back several times for long periods where I have been told the car was at BMW on more than one occasion for the services. The key was given back to me 3 times still not working as well as the camber on the wheel. Up to now the car was suppose to have 3 new tyres and two new shocks.
After about 6 weeks I was then told that the previous people i was dealing with had left the company and now was dealing with James.James told me that the car was going to BMW to replace the two shocks.I received the car back and was still pulling badly. I took it for a wheel alignment test wheel the camber was out by 2 degrees.
James then referred me to Shaun ( a new employee). When Shaun asked James who at BMW he must speak to about the car, James then told us that the car was never at BMW and that it was an independent person. After a day or two Shaun then said that he cant find the person who did the services and work on my car to stamp the book. Shaun was then trying to make me trade in my car for a newer one.Shaun said that BMW did an inspection on the car and said everything was fine. Shaun then took it Tiger Wheel Fourways where he said the car had never been on the system , when I know it had been because I was there in January personally with the car.
I have now received the car for the fourth or fifth time and there are still issues, new issues that have occurred while they have had the car. I also asked for the receipts for the service tyres and shocks as well as the book to be stamped but none were received.
I was not once offered a courtesy vehicle and could not have had a worse experience buying a car. I have barely had my car and have been messed around and **** to from the start by everyone I have dealt with.
I do not trust what has been done or not done to this car and I do not want this car anymore.
I am highly disappointed that I have wasted money ,that I saved over the years, as I was under the impression that Kia was a trustworthy and reputable brand.
