Kia does not back it name

I purchase a Kia Sportage last year brand new from Kian Weltevreden Park. The car had a factory defect with the clutch plate, it was subsequently replace and the fly wheel was done under the factory warranty. My problem is that I bought the car brand new so I don't have these kinds of problems, Kia should back themselves and recall defective cars, I am not the only one with a shudder when I pull away problem, it is common with Kia vehicles. Why can Ford, Toyota,VW etc all recall defective vehicles but Kia does not.
