Kia building faulty Picantos!

Kia Motors & Kia Motors Polokwane service is DISGUSTING!!! Anyone considering buying a Kia Picanto 1.0 Start, beware...there is an indicator fault that has no guaranteed solution.

Took in partner's Picanto because the indicators just randomly stopped working. Maropeng, some arrogant Kia Motors Polokwane agent, tells me this is the usual case with these cars, and that she has dealt with multiple of the same.

I then ask what will be done as we took this car for holidays, and are in a different state. She states it will take a few hours to test, then the car returned to us, with the part ordered if it is what she suspects it is, and they call us back to have it repaired. Basically, Kia is telling us to return home with a car that has no indicators due to a factory fault, and this arrogant agent SEES NO PROBLEM WITH THIS?? 2 hours max was her call for the testing. First we have to COME THE NEXT DAY after we book a service appointment. Kia obviously does not understand why indicators are paramount in driving. I was missed by two taxis while turning, simply because I could not always accelerate ahead before slowing down to turn.

We bring in the car the next morning, obviously not making a plan for means of transportation afterwards, as this will only take two hours. Then the ever so arrogant Maropeng now fully denies that she mentioned it would take 2 hours. The Service team now tells me it will take half to full day. She denies everything.

KEEP IN MIND THIS IS A MANUFACTURING FAULT, AND WE ARE NOW HEADING STRAIGHT BACK TO KIA DEALERSHIP TO HAVE THIS CAR REPLACED, at the cost of KIA. THIS IS A MANUFACTURING FAULT, AND KIA IS NOT WARNING CUSTOMERS OR RECALLING THE CAR!!! When we DIE, these companies claim there was no fault on their side!

Now we are told to wait for the shuttle to return us home. I had access to 3 cars if I was told the car would stay, but Maropeng obviously preferred we rode taxis. In the shuttle, the driver asks where we are headed to, and as we are visiting my partners family in Polokwane, I then mention Seshego in Polokwane. Your shuttle driver says he does NOT go to Seshego. I then ask why and he says that Kia does not drop people off there. Now we have been to Kia Silverton and no such ******* was ever stated. You build a useless car, then when we bring it in, you tell us you cant drop us off where we need to go??? YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO PROVIDE A COURTESY CAR FOR YOUR SHODY MANUFACTURED VEHICLES!!!

Back in the office, and now I am speaking to the Servicing Manager, Grobler...who then admits to my face that this is a common fault, showing that KIA is FULLY AWARE of this but is keeping dead silent about this!!! Another issue for the Ombud to deal with, and let me find out the Ombud is taking sides, he/she will be made more famous than the Insurance Ombud in the Momentum case!

All of this nonsense because you couldnt build a proper car, and now we even have to wait till next Friday to have the part replaced??? I dont get a coutesy car and am forced to drive a car without indicators, that is totally YOUR FAULT??? Some nonsense about a junction box replacement that also takes 3 working days excluding holidays and weekends, because yes, we as the clients have to wait for KIA to FINALLY DECIDE TO FIX its damn cars...*******!!! First step, car recalled. If this fails, Ombud case. If Ombud takes Kia's side, I will make it a point to make them more famous than Momentum and its pathetic little Ombudswoman!
