Kia ABS Defects

In the midst of a cataclysmic revelation, the shocking news about the recall of thousands of Kia and Hyundai vehicles due to ABS defects catapulted me into action. As a 70-year-old female driver, I, with unwavering determination, sought answers from Kia Rustenburg after discovering an unnerving leftward lean during braking.

In a whirlwind of automotive chaos, I embarked on a quest for resolution, subjecting my vehicle to not one, not two, but an absurdly excessive five wheel alignments within a mere three weeks – a documented saga that Kia holds in its bureaucratic treasure trove. New Goodyear tires were sacrificially offered to appease the vehicular gods.

In my time of need, a benevolent and sagacious figure named Michael Fouche emerged from the Kia shadows, guiding me through the labyrinth of vehicular despair. The diagnostics report, for which I willingly emptied my purse, turned out to be a mythical creature, elusive and non-existent. Even my trusted confidant Sheldon Bester, acting on my behalf, was met with cryptic responses on 17/1/24 from the enigmatic Jannie Ferreia, who, in her infinite wisdom, blamed the ABS brakes without a single warning light illuminating the dashboard.

With a dash of melodrama, she conceded to the need for a diagnostics report five days after releasing a vehicle, afflicted with the gravest of ABS ailments, into the treacherous embrace of a stormy day. A post-mortem report on a faulty ABS system – an unconscionable act that borders on vehicular manslaughter, accompanied by the dubious claim of having witnesses but shying away from a written report.

A titanic revelation emerged, as she casually mentioned an exorbitant cost of R30,000 during a telephonic escapade. Yet, the phone, loyal sentinel at my bedside, remained eerily silent – a testament to the mystery of her purported call. Oh, the absurdity!

In the grand opera of disappointment and frustration, Kia South Africa now orchestrates a cacophony of chaos, demanding VIN numbers and dispatching technicians left and right. I stand disillusioned, indignant, and simultaneously grateful for my survival, all while contemplating the perilous cost this cavalier approach may inflict upon unsuspecting lives on the open road.
