If I cannot trust Kia with their own product, who can I trust??

<p>In March 2012, I bought a brand new Kia Sportage at Kia Kempton park. I requested that the side steps and a nudge bar be fitted before I can collect and that was done, but I regretted on the first day of collecting my vehicle as I have noticed that those side steps were not for a Sportage and I expressed my feeling with the sales person and was told they were ok. Immediately after taking the vehicle I started experiencing broblems with the side steps cause they were coming off now and then, and I was always in and out of different panelbeaters requesting that they tighten the side steps and at this point I engaged the sales person and the manager. To cut the long story short I eventually took it back to Kia and was referred to this shady place, they refused to take their side steps back and said those step are just for "SHOW" am not suppose to step on them. I struggled all this years with these side steps and on friday 10/06/2016 my whole family was almost wiped out cause while the vehicle was moving the side step flipped and went under the vehicle, luckily was not driving at high speed and managed to stop. I called the manager at Kia, he told me that there is nothing he can do, the person who sold me the vehicle no longer works there and the steps are no longer under warranty. In conlusion, I hold Kia responsible for utilizing a service centre that is not regulated/authorized. Regards, Angry customer </p>
