I was sold an accident damaged vehicle.

I was very excited to be purchasing my first car that was to be on my name. My previous vehicles were on my father's name for insurance purposes but since he has passed on I had to buy a newer vehicle and this time it had to be on my name. I had a very limited budget when going to buy my car but was convinced by the dealership to extend my budget and pay a little more than I expected to get a better vehicle. The deal was done over the phone over a period of 3 weeks. Since I had bought my previous vehicles privately in the past, I thought this time I was doing the right thing by going through a dealership and I can trust that they had my best interests at mind. Over the phone many times I mentioned that I wanted a service plan and a maintenance because once I buy this car and I'm already spending so much of money I do not want to worry afterwards in case of a problem. I was assured that I shouldn't worry everything will be sorted out. I went to the dealership and took delivery of my car and I was very happy to be driving off with my first car. When signing the docs I even asked again. If this was for service plan and maintenance plan and I was again verbally assured that yes I am covered. I even had to pay an extra R6000 for it. When I started to drive the vehicle o noticed a few issues. The drivers door in a certain light and angle seemed to be a different colour to the rest of the car. I asked the salesperson named Siya if this car had been in an accident, he said no not at all. Then I noticed a knocking noise coming from under the car when I pressed my brakes. I asked Siya again. He should I should mention it when I take it for my first service. I took the car for the first service to the umhlanga branch. They called me in at the end of the service to sign to say that the vehicle was in fact involved in some kind of accident. They showed me the damage under the car which you could not see from above. The service dept then advised me that I need to prepare to change the brakes and a few other things to which I told them OK my maintenance plan should cover it. They then told me that I don't have a maintenance plan on this car. I only had a service plan. I called Siya. He said let me check and he came back saying Oh ya you don't have one. When I asked what do I do now, he said well if you are not happy just email Eugene. Which I did almost a month ago, and up til today I have not received any feedback or response to even acknowledge the email I sent. When I speak to Siya he says that they are working on it. For a month.

Do not go to Kia Durban if you are looking for a vehicle. My first car has become a nightmare for me. And they are not even trying to help.
