Fourways Kia - terrible experience
I would like to lodge a complaint about Kia Fourways. I bought my vehicle in last week Thursday (24 August) as it was leaking oil. The vehicle was inspected and found to need a "side shaft seal". I was told a warranty claim would be loaded and the part would be delivered the next day (25 August). This meant that the car could be fixed on Monday. I was told it was a 2 and half hour job. Friday arrived and no-one bothered to call me. Monday arrived - same thing. I tried to contact Kia to schedule the vehicle. Eventually went through the Kia website. On Tuesday 29 August, contact was made, however, it appeared no part had been ordered. I was told that the part would now be there on Wednesday 20 August. The dealer phoned me and confirmed the part had arrived and the vehicle could be fixed on Thursday 21 August. I brought the vehicle in on Thursday 21 August. I received a call at 10h30 that day and was told that there was leak (WHAT?) and quotes would be generated. I then told the Kia representative that they had ALREADY done the analysis LAST WEEK and that a warranty claim had been made. He then went to find out the info. At 14h55 I received another call from the Kia representative who now told me that the vehicle wouldn't be finished until Friday 1 September. At no point was this change EVER communicated with me. NO offer of a courtesy vehicle has been extended. It has been left up to me to make some less than secure plans to ensure that I make a flight the next day. This is the absolute worst dealership I have ever dealt with in the 18 years of being a car owner. They do not seem to know what they are doing and DO not communicate with each other nor their customers. Horrible horrible service - stay away from Kia if you can. I strongly advise anyone considering the purchase of a Hyundai or Kia to reconsider.
