Faulty cars at Kia SA

I bought kia Sonet 1.5 Lx at Burgersfort garage. The car has 14026 mileage now. 21 April 2022 the car started giving me problems. Traction control light and power steering light switched on while I was driving, steering was difficult to control, I was unable to turn the vehicle. I called roadside assistance to come tow the car, they came after four hours. I was on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere alone, with no assistant from Kia, and remember I am a lady. I had to contact them again, so they came and took my car to Lydenburg garage.

It took them two weeks to fix my car, i struggled struggling to go to work for two weeks, I was always late at work because I had no transport,I had to hike every day. After two weeks the called me and told me they found the problem. I was told that they are going to remove the whole steering rack and it was going to cost them R66 000. I was told that Kia SA already approved it so they were just waiting for delivery. After few days they fixed my car and I was told to come collect. Remember I’m from Burgersfort and I had to travel to Kia Lydenburg so more expenses.

I was happy to collect my car, on arrival they told me that my car was ready but the invoice was not ready so they promised to send via Email. Unfortunately I never received their email. Two weeks later my car broke down again, same problem. It happened while I was on my way to work. The whole thing traumatised me , I asked my self millions of questions, what if there was another car behind me, what was going to happen to me😭

I called them again to come tow my car, I did not even work that day. I was so stressed.The following day I was called to come collect my car, they told me they fixed it. I got to the garage to collect, when it was their turn to give me my car, they told me that the car has started with the same problem. My heart was shattered, Broken into million pieces. Every month i pay for a car that I do not use, I pay for a car that I no longer feel safe inside. When I ask them, they tell me that my car has a factory faulty.

I no longer trust my car, I lost faith with Kia mechanics. I used to drive Kia Rio from the same garage, I decided to trade it in because the Rio was giving me problems. They also struggled to fix the Rio , that is why I decided to trade in the Rio and opt for Kia Sonnet.I am dying inside, I am traumatised , I don’t think I will ever feel safe inside my car. Imagine a new car being fixed for the third time
