Disappointed Kia Owner
I had purchased a vehicle for the first time which is a Kia Picanto 2017 1.2 start..in june 2019 from DS Auto in west Street. The car was pre-owned and it was 24000km. I was told that kia allows 1 service to be missed and that I should take it for service when it reached 30000km. The vehicle is mostly used for work which is approximately 2km a day. Then due to covid I was unable to take the car for service when the 30000km was reached. My indicators and hazards stop working. So I had asked the guys at kia durban to have a look and they informed me that the fuse box needs to be replaced. I was quoted 8000. And then I was told that the warranty no longer applies. Due to the fact that the service works with km or months. Which I had no idea of. I was only aware of km not months or which ever comes first. It was my first time. I then decided to seek help from Kia South Africa. And contacted them and I was asked to send an email. Which I had done over a month ago. I didnt receive an indication whether my email was received. Although on my side it said sent successfully. This was my first time purchasing a vehicle and I was ******** of the finer details. But I did as I was told. And that was when the car reached 30000km then take it for service. All I asked from Kia South Africa was assistance in this matter. I am still paying for a vehicle that i am not using since the indicators and hazards are not working. I do not wanna put someone else's life in danger by using my car.
