Car Service-Unpleasant Experience

I had been to Kia Randburg yesterday to drop my car off for a service. Below is what i had to go through:

1) The Consultant had requested that i drop the car off between 07h00-07h30. When i got there at 07h15 there was a long que outside and we could not enter the driveway. We waited on the road for over 10 minutes. When i had jumped off my car to enquire what was happening, the security guard said that they dont have place to park the cars so they looking at clearing some space.

2) The Consultant meant to do the "Inspection" did not follow proper procedures. From experience, they normally check if there is any scratches, damage on your car, if you have a spare tyre and jack etc.

3) The consultant called me at 12h00 saying that they have not started with my service and are about to start but first they need to get approval from Liquid Capital. This was then declined beacuse the cover expired in October of 2016. With all the courtesy calls i receive from Kia Randburg every few months to ask if i'm ready for an upgrade...one would have thought that they would give you a courtesy call to let you know that you have to come in for an early service as the plan would be expiring.

4) I called the Dealership serveral times afterwards to ask what is the expected time that my car service would take for completion...and i got repsonses such as "we cannot tell", "today still" etc which made me very upset as i needed to make transport arrangements to fetch the car and couldnt do this without a timeframe.

5) I got the the dealership at 15h30 despite not having being told when the car would be ready. At 15h45, the consultant takes payment for my service afterwhich she lists the items of service that were carried out on my car. The consultant was far from knowledgable about the service.

6) At 15h50, I was then told that they cannot wash my car, and i should take my car to a car wash and bring the slip. This makes no sense as it is both an inconvenience and appauling way to treat customers who have BOOKED a service. If they couldnt find time to to wash my car then why did they book in more cars than they could handle. I was extremely upset especially since i had gone there to drop my car at 07h15 only to get a job not complete.

7) I get handed my keys and walk out to my car. There were plastic sleeves on my seat, steering wheel and gears. I then remove it and drop it in the car park as there was no one to assist.

I have serviced my car at Kia Randburg for the last 3 years, and always received excellent, professional service and continued going year after year as it has always been a pleasant experience. This has obviously changed. Kia you better take care off your customers or you will lose alot of support!
