Bought a car with damage, unknowingly.
I bought the car Jan 2022. In March of 2023 we realized the white paint was turning yellow. I contacted Kia South Africa. They did an assessment (16 May 2024). It came back as a faulty paint job that was done. I contacted Kia Wonderboom. They admitted the car was worked on (without my knowledge when I bought the car). They the offered to fix the spray job with a panel beater they provided (10 June 2024). I got my car back, took it to a Kia certified panel beater to asses. he confirmed the job done has made the issue worse (24 June 2024). I contacted Kia Wonderboom again. They confirmed that the job was NOT done by a Kia certified panel beater. I requested that my car should be fixed by the Kia certified panel beater I know through insurance. I got a quote from them and forwarded it to Kia Wonderboom (17 July 2024). They said they need three quotes. They picked up my car once again (1 August 2024). Kia Wonderboom then wanted to do a deal where I trade my car in and get a newer one. This however did not pull through because of a shortfall. My car then proceeded to wait at Kia Wonderboom for 4 weeks for them to decided what to happen next. Kia South Africa then decided to send the car to a panel beater in Centurion (2 Septemeber 2024). I got my car back (18 September 2024). I took the car to the panel beater I trust (25 September 2024). He confirmed again that the car is once again in worse shape than before. I have contacted Kia Wonderboom and Kia South Africa AGAIN. I am waiting for a response.
