BAD SERVICE BY KIA MAHIKENG MOTORS
Good Day,
In August 2021 Mr Kebapetse Seichoko took the Kia Picanto HXN 802 NW to Kia Motors Mahikeng for service and Brakepads. At the time of the service he reported that the 2 doors at the back and the drivers windows were not opening. The drivers window had mechanical issues as it did not want to close. He was told that he should bring it again after they had sourced Quotation. He drove back to Vryburg with the car. Kia Representative told him she will make a Quotation and send him the total amount of all the 2 doors and the window. Kia Representative called and gave Mr Seichoko a quotation verbally on the phone. Mr Seichoko deposited R3500.00 for the parts to be sourced. 2 months passed while waiting for the parts.
On 25 October I was told by Kia Mahikeng to bring in the car as they had received the parts. On 27 October Kia Representative called me to notify me that the car was fixed and ready. I got to Kia Motors and paid the Balance of R5255.88 in full. The total I had paid now was R8755.88. I inspected the car before I left to check if they had fixed everything as we had agreed on. To my surprise the door on the left was not opening at all. I asked Kia Representative why is the door not opening. She was also puzzled and the mechanic took the car from me without even informing me that they were going to check it. I had to go inside and ask Kia Representative what was happening. They wanted me to wait while they checked whats wrong. I told Kia Representative that how do they call me and tell me the car is ready, when clearly the whole work was not done.
I left Kia Motors and told Kia Representative I will come and collect the car on Friday. She never called me on Friday instead Im the one who had to do a follow up. I called them and their phone was just ringing. I decided to call Kia Motors Edenvale to lodge in a complaint as I was not happy with the service I had received. I called *** on Friday 27 October at 09:08 and spoke to another KIA Representative. I told her my whole story. She took my details and email address. She promised to send me an email and to date I have not received anything from her. I called Kia Motors Mahikeng again on 02 November at 08.00 and they did not answer their phone. I escalated the matter on their whatsapp number ***.
KIA Motors Mahikeng called me yesterday 02 November and told me that I now have to pay R2500.00 for the door that was not fixed and that I have to wait till they order the parts again. I told KIA Mahikeng the Initial Quotation they had given me was for the 2 Doors and the Window. I am not going to discuss the R2500.00. It is not my problem that they did not fix the door and again they are the one who gave me the Quotation on the Window and the 2 Doors.
I am not happy with the service that I have received. Kia Motors Mahikeng is ***********. I am also not happy with the service that I have received from KIA HEAD OFFICE-EVENVALE as thye never bothered to send the email nor call me. In a nutshell I am not happy with KIA SOUTH AFRICA . I paid the R8755.88 in full and I expect excellent service. Kia Motors Mahikeng is not doing me a favour by fixing my car. So I dont expect to be treated as if I did not pay a cent.
On this note I request that the door be fixed and a formal written apology from Management. If not I will escalate this matter further. I expect to be notified by 17h00 before the end of the business today, on the outcome of my case.
Regards, Didintle Seichoko
