Appalling customer care practices

Ki offers a lengthy warranty period on their vehicles because it takes them months to find parts to fix warranty issues. Do yourself a favour and avoid buying a Kia. Rarely have I experienced such shocking customer care. Kia have agreed there is a fault with the engine on my picanto that means it is gulping oil at an alarming rate. They agreed to replace the engine block under warranty but I then had to wait 4 weeks because they didn’t have 4 bolts in stock and couldn't be bothered to courier them to South Africa. Then when they eventually rebuilt the engine they said there is a fault with the new block and I would now have to wait for more than a month whilst they shipped parts again. I have complained bitterly to the dealer and Kia customer care but they simply don’t care and do absolutely nothing to expedite the repair. The car has been in pieces at the dealer now for two months and I will have to wait at least another six weeks before they are able to repair it. I will certainly never buy a Kia vehicle again because of this experience. It could have been managed so much better by Kia if someone actually cared, unfortunately that is not the case.
