2021 Kia Sonet Clutch Failure..... Epic Failure

I own a 2021 Kia Sonet 1.5 XS and can I say I am truly disappointed in 1. The gearbox / clutch and 2. Lazarus Kia Centurion workshop manager Mans. I had my Kia serviced in August 2024. During a long trip 2yrs I noticed that the clutch became 'soft' & for lack of a better word. In September I too my vehicle back to Kia Centurion and was asked to explain the issue in detail and leave the vehicle at the dealership for a day so the workshop can try and replicate the issue. I was also informed that to strip and look would cost me R5k as 'burnt out clutch' will not be covered my the 5yr warinty. Why is it so easily assumed that it's the driver that is at fault? I received a call from the workshop manager Mans saying they could not find the issue and I could collect the vehicle. I asked him what would happen if I drove the vehicle and heaven forbid it happens again or worse, I get stuck on the road as I drive a lot for work.

Not only did my nightmare come true but also Kia Centurion offered zero assistance. Just sorry mam..... I drove my vehicle from Centurion to Cape Town on 27 March 2025 and got stuck in Beaufort West where the clutch completely failed. I was alone with my dog in the middle of nowhere.

The vehicle will be towed by Kia Assit. I was assisted telephonically by Kabelo, who thankfully is very helpful and empathetic. The vehicle will be towed to Kia George on Saturday 29 March 2025 where I assume it will be assessed and naturally I will be blamed for the issue.....

To Kia Centurion and Kia South African I would like to inform you that I will not be held liable for any cost to repair my vehicle. I have done the necessary to have the vehicle looked at by a professional, namely the workshop team at Kia Centurion where I was assured that there is no issue. Also, as I have had to incure cost to get myself and my dog safely to a Cape Town. I would appreciate a courtesy vehicle and not a picanto while you solve this mess. And not a rental a dealer stocked vehicle as I am not going to pay any fuel deposits and any other BS you can come up with. I also expect my vehicle to be delivered to me in Cape Town at not cost once you have figured out how not to ***** me over.
