Negligence on vehicle service
On 24 April 2018 my vehicle, a Chery QQ went for a service at the above mentioned dealership. When I got my vehicle back, I did not receive the old parts that was replaced during the service which they charged against my service plan. I did not check my vehicle's water or oil level as previously I did not encounter any problem with this dealership. On 30 April 2018, after driving +- 300 km's I did my weekly check on the vehicle and to my surprise there was no water in the vehicle and the oil level was below the low mark (the charged for 4 liters of oil - no empty cans provided to state their claim). I was phoned early on the morning of the 24th and informed that my clutch is not up to standard, the light bulbs needs to be replaced, the right front and left back shocks are leaking and the right front bearing is making a noise. I informed the lady that they must only perform the service and I will get the other problems fixed myself. After I had the vehicle inspected for a 2nd opinion, it was found that apparently there is a oil leak on my vehicle of which I was not informed about, not even on the paper provided by this dealership or when the vehicle was collected the afternoon of the 24th. Before the water and oil was checked I drove over 120 km's from Pretoria to Nylstroom - what if the engine had run dry and something happened on that road or worse I had to get my engine overhauled due to their negligence? Unfortunately this is also the only dealership in Pretoria that still services my type of vehicle as I was informed by Jacques Badenhorst, a customer care consultant from Motus (that is a member of the Imperial Group).
