While I wait....
My car went in because of a handbreak light that remained on even when the handbreak itself was down. I was told that the car has a lot of issues that requires urgent attention. And that was in the 9th of March. I was initially given a quote to an estimate of R12k. At that moment it wasn't explained to me that the R12k was merely for parts it excluded labor which will be charged once the repairs have been made. Nonetheless I paid the R12k because the car could not be released for my own safety. After paying I then learnt that it will take 21 days for the parts to arrive. This was a cash deal and not part of any Warranty whatsoever. So since then I've been using e-hailing services which are costing me an arm and a leg.
Not having parts in stock should be any way inconveniencing me but I find myself very inconvenienced by this. There was no offer of a loan car from this branch nothing.
A day ago I called Kia customer service to understand what my rights are in this regard. I am still waiting for an email or telephone call from the customer service consultant.
How should I do? This has taken a strain on me financially and will do for the coming week(s). It's an expense that I had not budgeted for and not being mobile as well is so frustrating.
What are my rights as a consumer?! You failed to honour and deliver a service promised, shouldn't I be refunded? The delay is not with me but you Kia Boksburg.
