Pending judgement now a judgment

This company promises employment and sends me for fingerprints. Before I agree to go for fingerprints I show them my existing record, they assure me it's not a problem at all. I then proceeded to take fingerprints; all of a sudden when results came back confirming the same record I disclosed to them. They decline giving the same reason.
