KFT TRANSPORT & RIGGING HAVE LEFT ME WITH A DISASTER
Crane & trucks arrived 2 days late, (had run off the road on the 20th April), to move 3 x 20 ft containers. First container lifted but crane couldn't move it 300 mm to left. I called KTF to say the crane was inadequate for the job, to be told the crane was tested & certified a week ago. When lifting the second container, the crane collapsed backwards, dropping container onto another, damaging it and breaking the glass sliding door, aircon and cladding. The MD called back to say 'don't worry, we are insured', and that she'd send an email confirming such. They arranged another crane the following day, which took containers to new property but couldn't lift containers onto the footings, and placed them on the ground. Since then I have not been able to get any reply from the CEO or the MD, and received no emails. I have resorted to calling the Financial Manager who promised to sort this out but so far have heard nothing. They have my R35 000, and I am sitting with 3 containers I cannot use, and deadlines to meet.
Almost a week later and still my containers have not been placed in position. All I am getting from KFT transport are excuses. The CEO, who I originally dealt with, does not answer my calls, has left all dealings to the MD, and she does not return calls when she says she will. I have to keep calling her, to be fed with excuses.
The containers have be moved into position by tomorrow, the 1st April. She said on Friday she will confirm, it is now Sunday and I have not heard anything, no confirmation that it will happen tomorrow. I am a very unhappy customer.
