What to do when business is pumping

I left KFC without food today. After 20 minutes waiting (which is ok and understandable at month end)... I learnt that the queue is approximately an hour... (a guy who got frustrated and verbal revealed the time stamp on his receipt... being 54 minutes prior...

He also got his food after he complained... suddenly his order got fast-tracked (dont get me wrong, I waz happy for him) it seems though there was a staff member dedicated to "temper losers" (it appeared).

I also approached her then. I did not ask to be queue jumped like the previous guy...

I felt that if their orders are that full, they should do the right thing, by either not taking new orders or, as a minimum, disclosing the backlog/waiting time.

My conversation with the staff member was intentionally focussed...

I told her thay I am leaving in 2 minutes. Am I leaving with or without a refund. She was to tell me which. I was ok with either response... I just wanted a response...

She turned her back on me and started packing a bag with the items I had ordered... i was now the next queue-jumper (having waited a mere 20 minutes, not 54 like the previous guy)... this was not what I asked her!

I was anticipating an hour worth wait, and decided to leave (i can do eggs on toast)...

Whe the lady returned with my bag of meals I asked her whether she understoos the question i posed her with... ThatI will leave in 2 minutes, whether that would be with or without a refund.

She rep**** that I gave her 2 minutes to get my order ready.

That is false. I did nothing of the kind.

I told her to keep the food... I shall not part-take in queue jumping.

And I expect fast foid outlet that is swamped at monthend to do the following

Stop taking orders if circumstances call for it Disclose the backlog/ waiting time (people could go home and return) Stop the practice of enabling queue jumping. Or of you continue, then dont make me party thereto if that is not what I asked.

The roughly R 180 that I paid today (leaving with nothing) is not the issue here.

If you do not have capacity to sell product to me within a reasonable (fast foid industry) timescale... tell me.

Do not make a queue-jumper out of me... I'd rather have you take my money in exchange for nothing.
