Very Disappointed KFC Customer
On the 27th March 2018 Durban had a power outage and when I got home, the power was still off. I decided to go to KFC to get dinner for the family. The queue was out the door and yet there was 1 teller assisting. I asked if teller could call the manager to get someone to assist with taking orders, only to be ignored!! I was already on the verge of anger, as I was standing in the queue for a while. I finally got to place my order. After waiting at least 20min, I was told that KFC had run out of Mash and Gravy..... WHICH KFC RUNS OUT OF MASH & GRAVY!!!! I then asked the assistant, why the teller who took my order did not inform me, as I would have changed my order? Her response was "sorry she forgot".... Well, my blood was reaching boiling point, but was trying to keep my calm, as the place was full with customers. I then called for a manager, of which I do not know who came to assist me, as she appeared from the kitchen. I then asked, if you don't have mash & gravy, what can I take in place of that, as I had ordered box meals and all had mash & gravy? She then responded to tell me that I could only take more chips or coleslaw.... I explained that the meal already comes with a large chips and my kids do not eat coleslaw. The attitude of the "manager" was horrific, as she had no intention to satisfy the customers needs and just hoped for me to "go away". I was now on the verge of loosing my cool and the queues were getting longer. There were also more customers complaining and yet there just did not seem to be any worry from any of the staff. After now standing around an hour in KFC, of which my food had been standing on the counter getting cold, finally the assistant agreed to give me chicken pops as a substitute. I come to this KFC often, but feel that I will not be buying from this branch any longer, the staff are extremely unfriendly and there is no such thing as customer service. I then went home with ice cold box meals for dinner.
