Unpleasant experience

On the 19/12/2022 @ 19h51, we went to our favorite kfc westridge wanting to order our regular meal - a lunchbox. As we were approaching the cashier we ordered and was told that their soda machine was broken and we had to buy cooldrink in bottles with our meals wich would cost us r10 extra.

This kfc had become our go to place only because the service is always excellent and we don't wait long for our order. This time around our visit was completely unpleasant.

The cashier who assisted us was not in the mood to be at work, didn't even greet when we approached her. When we asked if we could take something else in the place of the cooldrink, like a chips or a ice cream she said no. I then asked to speak her manager, but he wasnt on duty. We then spoke to Vuyelwa who also told us that we need to buy something else because when something like this happens they just take the meal from the menu. I said "okay" in utter disappointment because of the lack of sympathy. We then took the meals and payed the extra r10. Even more disappointing they only had two options of cooldrinks, cream soda and stony. There wasn't even a sign on the soda machine that said out of order or a sign on the menu that indicated there isn't cooldrinks in a cup available to give us enough time to change our order, when we got to the till we had to change our order on the spot. Even if they threw Cooldrinks in a cup from 2 litre bottles we would have been okay because that shows that there was action taken towards the situation, not tell customers you need to order something else when they get to the till point. So instead of paying R130 for our meal, we ended up paying R145 and left with something we didn't even want. We also took stony cooldrink but the cashier rang up Fanta cooldrinks, which they didn't even have.

After a long day of work, also working in a retail food industry, we just want to order our food and go home, like we always do.
