The worst ever at KFC

Was in Kfc Katlehong , 1st they made us go through the drive through twice because there was no one at the window , secondly they gave us meat that was not well cooked and had a funky smell , I loaded a complain and the consultant told me she will escalate the matter, but you know what is sad about restaurants ,we travelled far to get food and instead of compensating us they told us we should have returned the meat my question is haven’t travelled so much would have kfc compensated for my petrol had I returned the meat ? And are they telling us that we constantly need to taste our food before we leave their restaurant? And why would I keep meat in my fridge cz it had already had a funky smell , I’m disappointed with KFC
