Terrible terrible service!

last night I went to the KFC in Edendale and had a VERY unpleasant experience!

When I got there, I joined the que for the drive-through and waited about 10-15 minutes when the que wasn't even that long.

Nevertheless, I finally get to the window to place my order - they just closed the window and never said anything... So naturally, I waited for them to open the window again of which never happened. Then I decided to ask them and the lady just pointed at the window at the next stop.

There wasn't even any courtesy to inform us of what was going on which was very rude. There were several other cars which were behind me which suffered the same fate.

So then I decided to go to the next window and waited even further only to get told minutes later that the drive-through had been closed and that I had to go via the main entrance. I honestly don't know why they don't communicate this when they can see we are hungry and waiting to get assisted.

So I place my order (4 x streetwise paps) and they said they still preparing the chicken and it would take 20 minutes. Again, I waited patiently for my food. 30 minutes later I then received my food from them and the teller apologized for not having pap and replacing it with buns - I wasn't happy about this as she hadn't told me upfront but nonetheless, I again accepted and moved on to collect my food and all I wanted was just to get back home at this point.

When I get home having spent almost an hour at KFC, I was even more infuriated to find that there was no gravy and they had replaced the gravy with looks like pathetic portion of chips which I didn't even want or order!

Over and above this, there were only 3 buns and 1 was missing?!

I don't know if this this KFC in Edendale specifically which doesn't give a hoot about how customers are treated or if it's their employees who do understand the customers contribution to the sustainability of their business?

Whatever the issue is, it's one which has left a sour taste in my mouth and one which is going to make me question KFC as my fast food of preference.
