Take your money wrongfully and offer you a voucher in return

On November 6th, 2016 09h00, I visited KFC Okavango, Corner Okavango Road and De Bron road, Brackenfell.

I ordered a 6-piece family treat @ 144.90.

I paid with my cheque card. The transaction declined on their side, however, it was debited from my account (I have cell phone banking - therefore I can see every transaction).

I was told (in fact guaranteed) this will reverse back within 24-hours, and I should swipe again. I proceeded with the recommendation and swiped again.

I monitored my bank account for the reversal, and nothing has come to past.

On 07 November 2016, 17h30, I went back to KFC and asked to speak to a manager and explained my case. He said he could give me a voucher for the value or if I wanted my money back her would have to send through the request to Head Office for reimbur*****t.

I am the only one in my household, working for 3 children and a Fiancé, take-aways are a luxury and a treat - I cannot afford this on a regular basis. Every cent I have is accounted for and R144.90 means a lot to me and my family.

The fact that I have to wait for my own money, which they took from me is unacceptable and could go a long way in my household.

I am disgusted in the processes this business follows in respect of the above. I now am R144.90 short and also spent money and time travelling back and forth to KFC to correct the matter.

It is now 48 hours later and I still don’t have my money back.
