Tag/label in the chicken
On Sunday afternoon the 25th September 2022, I decided to go buy KFC at KFC the decision that I was literally going to regret later on. I was actually impressed with how friendly the staff was, the cleanliness of the restaurant and how prompt and fast the service was. Lo and behold my so called “excellent customer experience” was in fact going to be very short lived. Bought a streetwise 3 with chips and a soft twirl cone ice cream and my order was ready in less than 5min and I left.
Got home and opened the box and thoroughly enjoyed the first piece which was crispy, well coated and cooked to perfection. I took a bite on the second piece a side breast and while chewing noticed a strange object attached and friend into the bone. I took a close look and examined the objet which appears to be a tag/label written with a black pen( different times). I have never vomited the way I did that day.
Here is my problem
1. Clearly this tag/label is not designed for consumption, why was it fried with the chicken? 2. What material is this tag/label made from? I stand correct as I’m not an expert but it looks like paper covered with plastic or vinyl. 3. it is written with a black ball pen ink? Is ink safe to be eaten? 4. Was the standard/procedure of food handling and hygiene followed? 5. What is the process of quality management in food preparation and handling?
Immediately after the shock of what I had discovered I lodged a complaint to KFC on Facebook as I was too weak and disgusted by what I saw.I received a response requesting my contact number and email address indicating that they will “reach out” I have been waiting for a response with absolutely no luck at all.
The current TV AD/ commercial “**** food inspector” is misleading and not true all. If proper food inspection was done the tag/label would have not been found by a customer.
I demand and urgent response to this matter
