Service once again at an all time low

Yesterday 20/12/2016 I found myself once again in my local kfc in halt rd Elsies River. I tend to go there as it is very close to our offices. But there is endless problems at this branch from staff shortages, stock problems, slow inattentive staff, faulty ice cream machines and the latest one card machines not working. Now in a society and neighbourhood where we are encouraged not to use cash but rather a bank cards for obvious safety reasons I find it extremely bad and totally unacceptable that all card machines in the store is out of order. No notice up to advise customers I was standing in line how long just to be told the card machines is faulty now this is not the first time. Previously I had cash on me and I just paid but this time I wanted to make use of a facility that is offered by all KFC branched and somehow I felt that they were doing me a favour by accepting this form of payment!! I asked for the manager and all she had to say is it has been reported and she is not responsible for technical problems. If you are a true store manager you will know that everything that happens in your retail outlet is your responsibility. You cannot under no circumstances tell a customer that it is not your problem and even offered me the reference number for the fault report how has this become my problem to solve as a customer?? I alway insist on the highest level of service from all service providers whether it be food or any other form of retail and this is how it should be customer service in SA is not great that is why a business should do everything in its power to uphold standards unfortunately this KFC branch has failed miserable at this and the store location has such great potential with surrounding business that is all potential customers however I will rather be joining the rest of the unsatisfied paying customers who have now rather gone elsewhere where customer service and satisfaction is a priority. It is sad to see that in this difficult financial climate we find ourselves in a business that provides a luxury and not even a necessity still treats customers in this fashion. Remember today it's 1 customer you loose tomorrow 10 and that number will grow if you don't clean up your act.
