Not open on time

I arrived at the KFC at 06:36 to buy a cuppaccino before work and they were closed. The trading hours on the door said that they open at 06:30 so they were supposed to already be open. I pulled on the door and a staff member came to say that they are still closed because the staff was late and they are still preparing. I told the staff member that I only want cuppaccino and that shouldn't take long to prepare but they told me to come back later. I think it is unacceptable and very bad customer service and won't go back there again. For a new KFC that only opened recently, they sure don't start with a good reputation.
