KFC's in Brakpan have utterly terrible service and non-existent customer relations.

On Tuesday, 5 December 2023, after my older daughter's prize giving at her school, we decided on buying KFC for dinner. We went to Dalview's KFC, where after entering the shop, and starting to place the order on the electronic device (we have found that the orders are less often wrong when using the electronic option rather than placing orders with real people), we were informed that the meat was finished in the shop and we would not be able to be served. We left and decided to go to KFC in Brakpan Central. We decided to use the drive thru as the KFC in Brakpan central has many shady characters frequenting it. We were at the front of the queue, or so I thought. Placed the order for a festive feast - the one with 2x coleslaws and 2x oreo ice creams for my two daughters. The payment on my phone shows went though at 20:51. I moved forward and at the corner, saw 2 vehicles still in front of me. After 10 minutes, I got out of my car (excellent for a drive through, right?) and the guy in front of me in an Isuzu work bakkie (it had a petrol compressor and tools on the load bed) informed me that we have to wait 10 minutes for the meat to cook (something the lady I placed the order with never told me). Another 5 minutes (so 15 minutes and not 10, right?) later the first car left and the Isuzu rolled up to the window. We waited another while and at 21:10 the Isuzu (who also had a young pre-school child if I had to guess) was served and they left. Our turn at last. We roll up to the window at a little after 21:10. Wait another 10 minutes without even being acknowledged. At this point a gentleman in a Honda sedan behind me got out and squeezed between my vehicle and the wall to ask the staff what the delay was. I was not privy to what their reply was, but he received his coke and I suspect one of the sides and went back to his car. A short while later one of the staff asked if I could move my car and park in the carpark to wait for my order. I refused. (1), Why if my order was basically only chicken pieces? (2)Was this so that the people behind me who complained could be served first? (3) How long would I still have to wait before I was served?. Another wait and the man in the Honda returned to berate the staff and explain to them about time delays and not informing customers of the delays. The male staff member (I will dub him Numbnuts) then accused me of not wanting to move when I was asked to. I then rep**** to this saying "No, I will not. I will wait for my order, thank you". The Honda man then returned to his car, and at 21:27 I was handed (it was shoved out of the window into my vehicle) my order without a single word. The chicken was dry, small pieces and the snack burgers were cold and squashed flat. The only reasonably nice part of the meal was the coleslaw, but they came without any s****s. This is not my first negative review of KFC, but each time the service at KFC becomes more pathetic and more unpleasant. There is a definite arrogance and taunting attitude emanating from the KFC stores where we go to order food from.

I would advise that people wanting to go to KFC in Brakpan (Mall@Carnival included) rather to to Springs Mall or even the KFC in Selection Park where the service seems to be slightly better.
