#kfcbadattitudesmustfall #poorqualitychickenisnotforme

It's comes as no surprise that once again I am writing to complain about not only bad service and attitudes but about exceptionally poor quality chicken, this from a chain that is meant to pride it's self on customer service and excellent quailty chicken as it's all you really sell.

I must say from the many years I have avoided KFC chicken cause of bad service and shockingly poor quality chicken, KFC Paradise Junction has reminded in one fowl swoop about all of those occasions. (The pun was intended)

After a long and arduous day toiling away and trying earn an honest living, I decide to treat the family to a well deserved take out, the general consensus in the car is KFC as we haven't had it in over 2 years, and after this experience probably won't for a very long time. (I'll stick to grilled chicken) we decide to avoid the drive through as the que is getting long cause of the rain. Face to face service it will be, we walked in to a very stern and grumpy looking server, so I decide to crack a joke and try make her smile, well it's kind of worked she's starting to shows glimpses of a smile, she takes our order all round and we seem to have a pretty successful endevour, Right? Right.... Moving on to the arrival of our food having ordered a street wise 3 I have requested two side breasts and a drumstick, medium mash and gravy, sweet Chilli twister with zinger strips and a mini meal consisting of small pops chips and a soft serve, at this stage all is going well, until the food arrives and I ask to check the order physically, I get the bag with all the food pushed across the counter and told to check.... (Really, I must now pull out all my food open one by one, close it and repackage it all with you as my server helping another customer, that's not service, that's self service), I oblidge as I'm adamant I want to see what I've been served, I pull out the twister all looks good, (wrong...) I pull out the SW 3 wonder above wonder I have been given the two pieces of chicken from what can only be described as last week Tuesday's left overs, cold pieces missing parts, and dry as my Nannas denture powder. In calling the server over I notice that the side of the box the SW3 is covered in gravy, so I decide to pull out the M&G (wonderful, it's open and leaking over everything) the server walks over and calls the supervisor (Pretty M) in her native tongue says to the server "oh the dof one must have opened it, to which she agrees and they snicker) my reply understanding Zulu was I did not open it, well the look of astonishment on their faces was priceless, I then asked for the chicken to be replaced they took it to the back and brought me a "fresh order" urm... No ladies by turning the chicken around so that I can't see the "damaged" parts doesn't constitute a fresh order, again I insist on a fresh chicken it's at this point I got what in my opinion is what I paid for, satisfactory, well presented chicken, looked good, smelled good was steaming in the cold weather, but hang on now I've got half the amount of chips that I had in the first box, is this a negotiation of either bad chicken with lots of chips or good chicken and we skimp on your fries? I decide to take the focus off the chicken cause my tongue is about to become a weapon of lingual destruction, I ask if the M&G will be exchanged as well cause a large part of the gravy is in the bottom of my brown bag, I get a smack of the tongue a look of disgust and a large dose of attitude, well I really did get more than what I bargained for, bad service, bad chicken, and a bad attitude... One would think it ends there, not so fast, we get home only to find our Sweet Chilli twister has one, yes one chicken strip.... Eish... Maybe it fell out, bad luck mfethu, now to taste this wonder creation oops, it's not a zinger strip either.... This just tops it all off.... Can one server/supervisor/store make so many bad, really bad errors? Or was it now a matter of cost cutting? Serve the food no matter how bad it looks or gets.

I have to admit never in a million years did I ever think I would be the one to complain about such a calamity of errors, but I guess it is what it is...

KFC does it again... Not only am I out of pocket for a large amount of money (yes R120 is a large amount for me) but I'm out of pocket with regards to my family time as majority of the remaining night was spent seeing my little family not enjoying their meal as a result of the bad taste that was left in all of our mouths.

Yours in bad attitude, and bad service.

Gazza H
