KFC Vredenburg possible performance reveiw gaming
I RECENTLY and probably for the last time was a customer of KFC in Vredenburg and i was witness to the personnel doing something that made me question the ethics and integrity of their staff.
I arrived at the drive through and noticed a long line in the drive through. The space in this small road is quite limited and i could see that there is space for cars to move so i could not understand why the cars were not moving. When my turn came to order i noticed that a personnel member was allowing customers to order but was blocking them from driving beyond a certain point untill a few minutes has passed and then allowed them to drive past the said point and then go and wait by the window. A few minutes will then pass and you will receive your food and go.
I am not A rocket scientist but i have enough sense to be able to assess a situation and come up with a probable explanation. KFC having been known for receiving complaints about poor service in the past are trying to make their performance stats look better than they actually are by preventing people from driving over the load sensor that is position by the pay point in the drive through. It would seem as if their measure of performance is based on the time taken at which the clients pass the load cell and then collect their food. By delaying the clients from driving over the load cell it shortens the time taken from ordering untill collection.
The question i would like to ask is does the broader KFC know about this practice and do they condone it? If there is some sort of incentive to franchises that have top class performance this could be seen as *****. Does KFC know of previous complaints of poor quality food from this franchise? If this is the integrity that the staff of this branch has i dont want to know how they handle customers' food.
