KFC Strubens Valley

Begging, soliciting and harassment inside the store at Strubens Valley branch. Allegedly aided by the management as they had no security to intervene and the assistant (was also the manager) made more effort to assist the other person than me. I had ordered a R59 meal for my son after a hard days work, a R39 burger for me and a beggar in store who resorted to tears asking for help as he had "no food today". He manipulated me and ordered a R61 meal in non English with the Manager directly so I could not know what it was (seeing as I was paying I think it is fair to speak English and directly address me). Personal ethics make me want to assist people and I will always help someone who is hungry or in need but why did he feel the same burger I was having was insufficient and why did the Manager not check with me if that order was an acceptable amount? Leaving I saw the same begger accepting a food package from another vehicle so I took photos. Why is KFC endorsing begging and soliciting in store where I felt pressured? Granted what happens outside the premises is a different scenario and with hindsight I should have said so and purchased what I was comfortable to afford, then give outside on my own accord. Subsequently, while waiting for the food, the same begger was shouting friendly greetings to the kitchen staff suggesting that they know each other, that this has happened before or frequently and is certainly not frowned upon by the store. Because of this, I gave that food to somebody else on the roadside on the next corner who I deemed them Hungrier in light of seeing other patrons being potentially ****med. Bottom line is this: I don't like seeing anyone hungry and will try to assist but refuse to fall victim to emotional ********* tactics And I also don't want to be targeted inside a store. I will never frequent this store again or any other KFC for that matter. I veto KFC for lack of taking this as serious enough during the week after my complaint days ago. Maybe somebody will Listen to customers when the economy and business in general slides further into decline. Perhaps then you will pay ettention to your customers? It's easier to look after existing customers than the effort and resources used to get new ones. Just another bad experience. Never again. FYI my 18 year old son watched all of this and suggest the store pulls video from the cameras. Surely the cameras help for such incidents.
