KFC negligence

So yesterday 12/03/2023 I went to KFC Kagiso Mall around @ around 16:06 and bought 15 pieces of chicken, okay we got home and ate as I was about to pack a lunch for my son I noticed maggots coming out from the KFC package, I panicked and opened the whole package and found tons and tons of maggots inside, I immediately drove to the store to report the matter, I spoke to two supervisors whom told me that they don't know how it happened but told me that they will inform their head office, today in the morning i received a call from George who said he is the company COO (KFC) and said he will investigate the case and revert back to me later today 13/03/2023, indeed he did call and told me that they investigated the matter and he is very certain that they followed every procedure to prepare the meat, but according to the tone of his voice he was implying that it was impossible for the meat to have maggots just that he didn't say it directly but he was literally saying we had something to do with the maggots being on the meat(not his exact words but because he didn't want to admit I am certain that he is blaming us for the incident) so there was a lot of contradictions on his statement, I mean I had to consult with my son and we drove straight to hospital from the store, my niece had a terrible stomach bug and also had to consult with the doctor from last night and no one wants to account for this? Can I get assistance in escalating this matter because we look like we inserted those maggots in the meat according to George's statements. Why on earth would I do that go through the trouble of going to hospital, buying medications and so many costs for what exactly? as I am writing this I am still traumatized with the whole incident, my stomach still upset and no one is accountable but surely there was negligence somewhere, I do have videos, slips, recordings with store supervisors, scripts from the doctor upon request I shall avail them. I just don't have the strength to write more as I am still trying to come to terms with everything that transpired.
